About Me

Hello! I’m Karen.

I’ve worked as a published writer/author for twenty years, after graduating with an MA in Writing for Young People from Bath Spa University. I write for all ages, from picture books to YA and everything in between. As well as writing original fiction, I’ve undertaken a wide variety of commissioned projects for global brands, working on fiction and non-fiction briefs for UK and international publishers.

Some things about me: I live in the SW of England with my husband, two sons and a tuxedo cat called Tilly. I like yoga, walking in the countryside to find friendly sheep and reading in the sunshine. My party trick is that I can fluently mirror write and my favourite words are eclectic and catkin. I’m also not the Karen Saunders who writes about bread making and toasties… ironically, I’m coeliac, so can’t even eat bread.
